What are terpenes?
Terpenes are the aromatic compounds that give cannabis its smell, like citrusy limonene or earthy myrcene. They are part of why two products with the same THC can feel different to people.
Where does the data come from?
From Metrc, the regulated track-and-trace system (Tervana is an approved Metrc integrator), and each product's Certificate of Analysis: the lab report a licensed lab issues for every batch, listing potency, terpenes and safety results. No crowd-sourcing, no brand claims.
How is my terpene profile built?
It starts with your past purchases, imported from your dispensary if you choose to connect. Rate products you try and, if you're a patient, note what helped. The more you add, the better your matches get.
Who can see my profile?
Only you. Researchers, brands and dispensaries see insights from many profiles combined, never your name or your individual profile.
Can a terpene profile guarantee how a product will feel?
No. People respond differently, and terpene research is still early. Profiles and "often described as" notes help you compare products, not predict exactly how one will affect you.
Is this medical advice?
No. Tervana shares lab data and published research for education. Talk to your practitioner or pharmacist about what's right for you.
